Use 3M PTFE Film Tape 5491 for a variety of roller applications. Our tape is an extruded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film backing that has a very low coefficient of friction and a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive, which creates a smooth, non-stick surface for various substrates to assist in the movement of materials. Our extruded, calendared film tape lies flatter than typical skived PTFE film tapes. It resists curling during unwind for easy application and has high temperature and chemical resistance for better performance on heated machinery and equipment. The film tape’s thicker backing helps extend the service life over thinner versions when subjected to abrasion and wear.
