With excellent balance between high tack / initial adhesion and good room temperature shear resistance, 9040 has been developed for applications on various surfaces including low surface energy plastics like polyethylene and polypropylene. It is, however, necessary to systematically evaluate surface compatibility before starting an application and 9040 tape should not be exposed to organic or aromatic solvents.
